City Ballet of Cleveland is holding auditions for the fun story ballet, Peter and the Wolf. The company will be auditioning for the role of the Hunters. The audition is open to all Cleveland City Dance* students who meet the following criteria:
- Level
- Students should be in Beginning Ballet, Beginning Jazz, Ballet I and/or Jazz I
- Age
- The audition is open to students ages 8-12
- Height
- Students auditioning for the role of the Hunters should be no taller than 4’10”
Students will be expected to rehearse on Saturdays beginning in February.
Performances include:
- Outreach Program at local schools. Dancers are required to perform a minimum of three (3) outreaches in the Spring (April and May), dates TBD
- One (1) Cleveland City Dance in-studio show: Sunday, May 18, 2025.
- City Ballet of Cleveland Spring Concert at the Lakewood Civic Auditorium
- Tech and Full-Dress & Make-up Friday, May 16, 2025
- Performance Saturday May 17, 2025, at 6:00 pm
A $25 audition fee must accompany the audition application and be received no later than Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The audition fee increases to $40 after January 22, 2025. Please complete the application form online and pay the fee via the company website.
A $75 participation fee will be due by February 8, 2025 for dancers chosen to perform.
