Become a Volunteer

Each year, City Ballet of Cleveland (CBC) produces multiple productions and fundraising events to delight, entertain and educate Northeast Ohio.  These performances and outreach events rely on the extraordinary efforts of more than fifty volunteers annually.  From selling tickets and handing out programs at theaters, to mending costumes and sets and heading up the next fundraiser–CBC thrives on the united efforts of its volunteers.

Are you a seasoned volunteer looking for a new avenue for your efforts and passion?  Are you a professional looking to lend your area of expertise to a non-profit?  Have you never volunteered before and are looking for an opportunity to do so?  If you love dance—especially classical ballet—CBC welcomes you to join our family.

Guild Membership

CBC’s Ballet Guild is open to anyone who would like to serve and contribute to the vital performing arts community of Northeast Ohio.  Volunteer opportunities can be found throughout the year and include specific events such as the Fall Fundraiser, The Sugarplum Fairy Tea, The Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker, a Spring Fundraiser, and the annual Spring Concert.  Additionally, there are multiple opportunities to assist in more general aspects of CBC such as spear heading marketing, advertising and development efforts to grow CBC. The Ballet Guild needs both those who are willing to chair committees and those who prefer to volunteer for specific roles within a given committee.  The Guild, its Chair and members meet as needed and are overseen by, and report to, the Board of Directors.

Ballet Guild Membership benefits include one free ticket to each of our performances throughout the Season.
